Hi guys, got this e-mail from Alan (polsaf chair) a few days ago, minutes from the meeting me and Eric forgot to attend
1. Minutes from last meeting passed.
2.Alan informed the meeting of the current issue with the chip and pin cards at the entry to the dock estate. There was a bottle neck of 39 lorries as the chip and pin was not working correctly.
3. The Presidents role was clarified , as its a supporting role to over see the election of the new board and to see that the Procedure is followed correctly. Nominations for Board Positions to be submitted to the secretary a month Before the A.G.M. Applications are required to be seconded. If 2 people apply for the same role, a vote must be taken of the club reps.
4, A discussion took place regarding the upcoming negotiations with Peel and Polsaf about the 2016/17 permits renewals. Clubs where requested to submit a list of members wishing to renew their permits. The permits this time will be produced By Club rather than on mass, in order to ease the production process. Clubs are Required to submit their names A.S.A.P.
5, A discussion took place regarding the Polsaf web site and the chat site increasing in use. There was also a discussion in the Development of a new more friendly site.
6, Discussion took place regarding an Inter Club Charity Skate match. A number of charity's were proposed including Zoe's Place, RNIL, Alder Hey and Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. A vote was taken of those present and Liverpool Heart and Chest was chosen as this years Charity. A date to be arranged and published on the web site.
7, None attendance at Meetings by club reps was discussed and to what actions will be taken for clubs that do not send a representative. Southport have appointed a number of members to act as understudies should their club rep not be available to attend the Polsaf meeting. It is Requested that other clubs follow suit. ( I have cut the rest of this paragraph as it contains the names of some of the clubs that only attend Polsaf meetings now and again)
8, Southport reps raised an issue with ongoing research, being conducted by Emily Hardman on behalf of Natural England. A discussion took place regarding the possible impact to the Sea Angling Community. There have been a number of people questioned while out bait digging by the research team, there was also discussions around the 3 fish limit on Bass that has now come into force.
