| With new rod at the ready and some bait sitting in the freezer me and Tony Williams decided to give the rocks at Seaforth a try. I wasn't holding out much hope and after two birds nests and lots of swearing things weren't looking to bright. The tide was a bit bigger than I'd have liked (8.7m) but the tide pull wasn't too bad and weed was ok. About an hour before high water my rod arced over and started bouncing and i was rewarded with a nice plump 3lb 6oz coddo. Tony then pulled in a nice little dab. After a couple more small knocks we called it day, but there are still some decent fish about, just not in great numbers | |
