how many cars can park at the helipad Ian??
if overcrowding is a problem we can go back to the way we used to do it.
we used to take the gear up to the rocks and return to the dock entrance to park then ferry the guys in 1 car to save on parking as this was an issue.

After long and delicate negotiations with, initially MDHC, and subsequently Peel Ports, about regaining our rights to fish from Seaforth Rocks, we've actually got a favourable result!! And subject to a few sensible, and mutually agreed, Health & Safety proviso's: as from January 1st 2010 we can all now resume our fishing from the Rocks.

However, due to time constraints and pegging problems etc', Seaforth Rocks are not being included in this years POLSAF Fur & Feather competition, which is to be fished from the Alex wall on 9th / 10th January. While I'm on that subject will everyone intending to fish this Fur & Feather Comp, please contact Mark Allanson about their ticket requirements, and availability: and let him know how many tickets are needed by Sefton SAC members, so POLSAF can get the tickets out to Mark ASAP. (The tickets are printed and ready to go Mark)

NB:
Herewith the, post Jan 1st ,"Rocks Reg's", for your information. We're working out the best way to get these out to people, who wish to fish the rocks, for their signatures.

SEAFORTH ROCKS.

Seaforth rocks can be a very productive area for fishing; however, it can also be potentially very dangerous. Heavy traffic, large vehicles and plant are in constant use on the roadways. The following procedures are to be followed, and form part of the terms and conditions for issue of a POLSAF pass.

The venue is available only to POLSAF pass holders who have read, and agreed to, these terms and conditions.

a) Fishing is permitted from the T junction southwards to the Heli-pad. Parking is strictly at the Heli-pad end only, any cars parked on the road will result in the owners pass being withdrawn. There is no vehicular access north from the T junction. Access to the rocks is via the concrete walkway along the edge of the rocks. Anglers are instructed not to walk along the road. High visibility clothing must be worn, and anglers should notify the gatehouse they intend to fish Seaforth rocks on entering the dock estate.

b) Persons fishing this venue do so entirely at their own risk. Neither POLSAF, the Mersey Docks and Harbour Company, nor Peel Holdings, may be held to account for any incident arising from members fishing this venue.
Single person fishing is strictly prohibited. Any member found fishing alone will have their pass withdrawn.
Adequate clothing, particularly footwear, must be worn as you must traverse slippery rocks. The venue is not floodlit you will need adequate lighting.

c) Work in pairs to get down to your chosen location. Choose a safe route, and be aware of the ingress of the tide and move to higher ground as the tide rises. In the event someone slips into the water or is soaked by waves leave immediately to prevent hypothermia.

d) One of the party should have a mobile phone to summon help if required 949 1212 will bring help from port police. Members with medical conditions should consider the climbing aspect of this venue before attempting to fish.
At all times members should consider their own, and others, safety! Strong winds and driving rain would make the venue more dangerous, therefore be prepared to leave rather than tempt an accident.

In extreme weather conditions the venue may be closed, this is at the discretion of port police. Anglers will, at all times, comply with instructions given to them by MDHCo, Port Police and POLSAF bailiffs.
I have read and understood these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them.
