Tony Willow and myself fished the Alex last night we fished from 8pm to 1230 the weather was great slight breeze from the east no rain. The sea state was flat calm there was plenty of sh.t in the water on my first cast I was into a thornie which came in at 4Ib 6oz on lug and mackeral that was it for me. At high tide Tony hooked into a thornie which came in at 4Ib 8oz and a doggie. Then Tony shouted for me saying he was into something big and could not get it off the bottom eventually he snapped off Laughing Laughing Laughing stating that it was a skate of at least 20Ib or a large conger. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad (I know what it was so will the lads in the club but what a tale to tell) Just warning you lads what to expect at the next meeting. Thought there might of been more down there fishing but we had the whole place to our selves. Good night really enjoyed it just great to get out.
