| Fished the Alex today with John D. in 25 mph north easterly winds ,plenty of the usual, Dabs and whiting caught.plus a couple of doggies to John,We were joined later on by young Sam Hartley, who was soon into the Dabs.I changed over to fishing for thornback rays around two hours before high water, managed to catch one of 5lbs 3oz an hour before high. The windy conditions made for a difficult fishing session, any way it was still enjoyable.Took some pics and will post them in the gallery. | |

| Still getting the rust dust out of our eyes we didn't realise at the time, but the iron scrap heap behind us on the far side of the Alex was a dust cloud, and was getting blown in our direction all day.All our gear was covered in red and black dust.Sam had the best idea, sat inside his car and just watched his rod for bites. | |
