| Looking forward to the match. Mark has got a new 525 mag to try( off ebay, bargain)but hes been using a fixed spool for a while so it could be fun ! Someone caught a 6 pound ray in the week and with the settled weather they could be a worthwhile target. We have fished there in may the last two years and its fished good mostly for dabs and flounders with the odd plaice and whiting. Hope there is agood turn-out for this one. See you all there | |

| Nice one Mark, well organised match at a good venue. When i snapped off on the first cast and then proceeded to watch dad catch 5 in the first hour, ( while i had none) it was panic stations! I then found where the fish where in my area and managed 6 in 4 cast and caught at a steady pace after that. Most of my fish were caught on frozen crab and fresh black cocktails with lug and mackerel catching fo my dad. Rigs were 1up,1down 2.5foot snoods (20lb line) size 2 and 1 hooks , 70-80 yards out. I was suprised no doggies or rays put in an appearance. | |
