Last Rosslare Festival this september 2011

just had the sad news that this years Rosslare Festival in September is to be the last one. Phil and Meano have decided not to run anymore after this one.
i personally would like to thank Big Phil,Meano and all the other people who helped make it the BEST small boat comp ever, i will sorely miss the craic and all the great people i have met over the years after this one is over.. tight lines,,

It is a shame when something like that has given so many so much fun for such a long time comes to an end .Is there noboby that wants to take over the running of the comp?.

shame, my dad has fished plenty of them over the years and will miss them. on a positive note, he will be able to come and do the samf daiwa pairs in dingle with me now . nothing to clash with it now

I should like to thank Phil and Meano for all their efforts in organising this well run event.
Unfortunately most people do not realise how much time and work is put in to ensure that events like this run smoothly.
We sea anglers need more people to get involved in organising events and club matches. We need people to give their time and expertise to ensure we at least maintain the status quo and dont lose our basic fishing rights.
