| fishing onboard charterboat Supanova out of Weymouth, left harbour and sea was lovely and calm, got out into Portland areas and it changed dramatically, I dont think i have ever fished in rougher seas and we hadnt even got into the Portland races ,when we got there it was worse , three drifts and no fish ,then we started to catch as the tide started to run stronger ,5 Bass on every drift using live sandeels and most fish being caught on white redgills, over twenty fish caught mostly 3 to 5lbs, conditions got worse and we had to move back into the shambles area for quiet waters, trying for Turbot this time without success and finally fishing for Black Bream, plenty caught but nothing above 2lbs , back again in morning for some more punishment and hopefully some calm weather | |
