Tackle Box League Round 3

23 anglers turned out to fish this match at Bromborough including some who had fished two matches the day before- gluttons for punishment The fishing was varied with the right hand side of the venue ( high number pegs) fishing better. League organiser and current Welsh international, Phil House was the winner with over 7 metres of whiting and codling coming to worm and crab baits tipped with fish. Bites came from all distances including down the wall. Some nice whiting came out with the biggest fish falling to Isle Of Man angler Mike Emery at 36cm.Rockling dabs and flounder were the other species caught. Les Trish got in the money coming in 3rd in the longest fish pool with a 34cm whiting getting his £10 match fee back. He also pipped me with 317cm while i was a fish behind on 297cm .
