Pm's secretary, Richie Burrows decided to put a non - league match on the alex dock wall today, hoping that the thornbacks would be there. Due to there being a big match on at Holyhead Breakwater, numbers were down to 6 members. We had the wall to ourselves and spread out along it. We fished it from noon till 5 and the fishing was dissapointing Sad . We fished to an 18 cm lenght to weight conversion system and only had 6 sizeable fish, 4 thornbacks, 1 whiting and 1 flounder. Biggest thornie was about 4 and a half pound the other 3 were around 1-2 pound. 3 of them came on the first of the ebb tide including 2on the last cast
RESULT
1st John S Williams 2 rays
2nd Jimmy Kelly 1 ray
3rd Ste Trish 1 ray
4th Carl Edwards 1 flounder
5th Richie Burrows 1 whiting
6th Phil Copland Blanked

Peeler crab tipped with squid was the best bait. CRABS very active stripping baits. Anyone else been out? good or bad?
