Hi All
Just thought I'd let you in on the fishing down under, long gone are the cold winter days on the Mersey catching Cod in muddy water, Snapper's where its at in crystal clear waters. The other species on the target list are Bluecod, Terakihi, Kahawhi (all good eating) and a pest fish Barracoutta. When I work out how to post photies, I'll put some on. Anyway the Bass fishing must be starting soon for you lot out on the banks.

Jon

Went out fishing after work on Thursday night for a couple of hours, we've had a lot of rain through the week so there was loads of debris in the water, anyway we managed a few kahawhi, 2 spiny sharks like a smoothhound, redcod and a conger about 41/2 foot long. Anyway the temperatures dropped 10-13 deg C and windy. We had an earthquake last night which usually puts the fish off for a few days so no fishing this weekend!

The public ramps are good, some are free some you have to pay for. We joined a local club that has the best facilities I've ever seen, look it up www.plimmertonboatingclub.org.nz/ (please note error with link now fixed - Admin)
