Hi,
Just to let you to how Keith and I got on fishing Cobh harbour last week...
Tuesday 1st June: Lovely day, loads of fish caught including a decent pollock to 4 lb, codling to 4lb, big whiting, grey gurnard, dabs, unfortunately the mackeral were not showing.
Wednesday 2nd June: Absolutely a gorgeous day, loads of fish caught again and managed to get some mackeral which I used to catch my first ever Irish sea Bass of 4lb using the mackeral as live bait on a float. Also caught plaice and a 35 lb conger eel, more dabs ect. Surprise catch of the day was herring.
Thursday 3rd June: Not such a good day as the wind was blowing up the harbour making conditions a bit dicey with wind against tide, we caught a few more fish but decided to come in early as it was uncomfortable to fish, in total we caught 16 species.
All in all, it was a great week we really enjoyed it, we met 3 lads from the Bradford and District fishing club who were also staying in the bella vista who we had a good laugh with and a few beers. The accommodation was spot on, the self- drive boat was a new warrior 170 which was free for the 3 days fishing due to taking up the offer in the Sea Angler.
Cheers Richie.
PS. Anybody got a spinning road and reel for sale - please respond to Keith...
