Anymore matches 2012

Hi all,
am new to the forum, just like to ask if there will be anymore fishing match's or meet ups around Liverpool this year.
Any chance of a few dates and times and can anyone fish it ? any info would be great.

Where about do you all meet up ?
Is it on Saturday or Sunday mate as the 10th is the Saturday and you put Sunday the 10th.
When you say it'l be busy how many you looking at fishing on the day ?
Any do and dont's for the day mate.

hi Tony. We meet just by the fort. We fish 2 hooks , with a minimum of 20cm size limit. All fish are measured and witnessed by the next club angler next to you. Are you a member, or a potential member of the club?. Come along and fish as a guest. We do advocate the use of shockleaders when casting and safety is paramount.

It will be busy with freelance anglers as the river is fishing well

Thanks for the info Ste, yes am looking to join a club which club is this fishing meeting for ? There's a meeting at the Dunnies in Walton on the 12th Nov is that the same club mate?
There is anythink between 5-10 of us that go out on the fronts or boat but never been able to find clubs and always seem to miss fishing meetings.
We are all beginners looking to gethelp and tips, if you have a photo (that you could put on here) of the rigs to use that would be a big help as in set up and size of hooks.
What is the cost of the match for us to fish and how many of us could fish it ?

This match is Sefton sea angling club Tony. It's not an open but feel free to come as a guest and see what we are about. If you like come and join the club. I'm rubbish at uploading stuff Tony, but most rigs work at perch rock. I will be using 1up1down rigs with 20lb hook snoods with size 2 hooks baited with black lug , mackerel, Sandeel or squid. The lads will show you on the day , just come along and fish. mark or Martin should show you in the right direction. Hope to see you lads there

mark will answer when he's back on Tony . He's away today on a course. He should be at the match on the 11th. He will be busy over the next few days as we are fishing the SAMF masters over the weekend.cheers

I spoke to Mark he's asked me to come to the match on the 11th and have a chat, I wont be fishing it but hopefully get to meet you all and join with a few of the lads.
I finish work today for a week only to start work in the house that is so wont get on here for a while, I'll have a walk along the mersey over the weekend see what goin on there.

We are fishing the masters at Otterspool this weekend so you ,might see us . Mark is "chubby" and grey, and I'm hobbling around with a walking stick standing on my rods, so we are easy to spot. If its warm enough we might just have our club jumpers on with our names . My dad , les, is fishing it too so you might see him. He's not got a computer thou so won't have a clue who you are. Cheers .
