fished yesterday ( monday) locked out at 9 ish back in at 8 ish, only ronnie and myself on the boat, was not a great forecast so we decided to stay in shore the day started great loads of whiting and flatties usual dogies, the birds where diving for sprat all around us the rock channel is full of them the whiting where stuffed with them( this is not looking good for the cod ) as low water came the fishing died we moved to the clock but as the tide picked up so did the wind we had to move over to the egg to try and get a lee from the now very strong wind, the trip back to the lock was what you might call exhilarating with the prop coming out of the water a few times the sea was short steep and shitty it was good to get into the lock, another good day

we locked out this morning at around 7 am 4 on the boat got as far as the windmills then we had to give up and return to the river as it was to rough to fish,we started with doggies skate flounder dabs and loads of whiting then the first cod of the season was landed not massive but a good 3 and half pounds it was the icing on the cake
