| Wet , cold and windy conditions met the 14 anglers who turned up on the day. Thanks guys for making the effort . Despite the weather, everyone caught but it was noted that the numbers of fish were lower than in recent weeks , possibly down to the whiting starting to thin out. the overall size of fish was down too. This match was pegged and the 2 end pegs had to be the favourites to produce the goods ,and that proved right with Paul Brough on peg 20 catching consistantly through the match.whiting codling, dabs and rockling were caught with most fish being quite small. total number caught was 88 fish broken down, 40 whiting, 28 dabs 19 codling and 1 rockling. cards have been checked and 2 were wrong , my own included Top 5 1 Paul Brough 16 fish for 404cm 2 Martin Bleasdale 13 330cm 3 Les Trish 9 223cm 4 Steve Trish 7 161cm 5 Phil Foster 6 157cm including biggest fish ,33cm whiting thanks once again fellas, next clubmans is running alongside the winter league match , this sunday at vale park bank, details in forthcoming outing section | |
