Bright sunshine and a light easterly wind did not do any favours for the 27 anglers fishing RedRocks, a low water venue on the English side of the River Dee.
The decline of the once prolific Flounder, through over trawling is still evident, and as predicted will take years to recover.
Anyway ! the match went ahead with a mere 25 fish in total being caught from an array of baits, Worms, Peeler crab and Shell fish.
The match was won by Trevor Osbourne with 3 fish from end peg nearest the island.
The largest flounder 41cms, taken on Peeler Crab, was caught by Davy Evans of Tramere.
