Small boats winter league leg 1 Result:-

Hi Guys,, well 11 boats fished 1st leg, thanks to all who attended, sea was fairly calm but blustery throughout the day, lots of boats moving around all day made it an interesting weigh in. 1st on the day was Wimps with a total weight of 18lb 9 ozs, 2nd was Kingfisher with 14lb 5 ozs and 3rd was Firefly with 14lb 1 oz.. the fishing was quite good with most boats getting the required 3 cod and 3 whiting to weigh in, some good cod with again some huge whiting where weighed in. unusual fish where a Spurdog from Firefly and 2 conger from Zippo as well as a huge pout! , lots of good skate and dogs and dabs . special thanks to Gary Ritson for help with the weigh in, all up front so everyone can see their fish being weighed in correctly.! Have spoken to Gary today and he is happy to continue to help me with the weigh in. Cheers Gary, really appreciated . Again thanks to all who helped launch and retrieve all the boats ,its good to see us all pulling together as a club. The points for each boat after leg 1 are as follows;
Wimps 12 points
Kingfisher 11 points
Firefly 10 points
Seafarer 9 points
Zippo 8 points
Jedi 7 points
Blu Noze 6 points
Early Dawn 5 points
Catch 22 4 points
Sea Raider 3 points
Hunter 2 2 points
we have a small pool of £5.00 per man which is is split 50% biggest fish and 50% biggest bag,,,, so results for that were ;
Biggest Bag Wimps with a total of 18lb 9 ozs got £62.50p
Biggest Cod was Seafarer a cod of 5lb 14ozs got £62.50p
i will give the rest of the Winter League dates out tomorrow at the club meeting. Once again thanks to all who took part.
