I stayed overnight at BORTH a week last Friday 7th August stopped by Grand Hotel which is now closed as a pub now an Internet cafe - any way after the bad storms last year a lot of sand was washed away from beach and old tree stumps now show on the shore line in front of the town but further along by the golf course looks clear of obstacles at low water line , frm what I could see some ofstumpsstick out up to a foot from sand so could be a problem with retrieving tackle , I have taken some pictures to try to put on website in a couple of days hopefully showing the obstacles....Berny

Hello All, had a bit of info from one of the locals , there are plenty of flounders and school bass showing , rag or maddies are getting them , few bigger bass showing to blow lug, quite a few small turbot 8oz to 1 lb showing and the odd bigger one around the couple of pound Mark , mackerel best for them , AND ,the small eyed rays are showing, best I've heard is 8 lb , they are falling to Sandeel/ squid. They should be around until end of October. If we have a bit of a surf up to and on the day it should fish well
