Plumpton , ulverston 9/8/14

Hello Lads, Les and I went up to Cumbria today to fish a small open. Only24 anglers originally it was supposed to be at Priory point but it's shallowed out there now so it was moved to the above venue. It was only a 3 hour match , spent more time travelling there and back than fishing. les got a good result though coming 2nd with 7 flounders for 177cm. Winning £75 in the process, which he split with me! Nice one Dad, also for supplying the creeper rag which a long with crab and mackerel did the trick , think I finished in the top half beat the pegs either side of me . I had 3 flounder for 83cm all the fish came within 40 yards. Enjoyed it

I thought I saw you walking the dog by bootle golfie on saturday ? I presume it was an early match then.
Anyway mate, sounds like a good day out, good job you won some dosh to pay for the petrol.
Is this first time you and Les have fished that venue ?

Yes Richie, it was me walking the dog and yes it was early fishing! Up at 04.30 on the road at 05.20. Yes first time we've fished it , just went up and gave it a go. Bit like the Alt But wider channel
