Small Boat=Summer League=2014

.Hi Guys.Colin has asked me to post the first match of the summer,as follows .

Saturday12th =Sunday13th April, Fishing 8am=4pm

The match is a species hunt. All fish to be in size .


No weavers (safety First)

With the next club meeting not till the 14th April, Colin hopes to have a list of the remaining monthly matches to hand out.

Guys.No need to explain about matches on or off ,due to weather.

We will post a.s.a.p. on the, day,prior to match.

Lets hope we have a GOOD SEASON . cheers.

Of course Pete, no problem. Hopefully a few more boats will join us if the conditions are good?
Will you be bringing your own boat or joining us on JOSAM? - either way not problem, I'll just have to limit Tim to fishing with no more than 3 rods if you're jumping aboard Josam! :-) Only kidding of course, Tim NEVER EVER fishes with more than two rods 

Saturday is favourite for us as the football is on telly on the Sunday! COYB's!

Hi Mart - still don't know what the 'dangerous bros' are doing about the weekend, either way I'd like to fish and if the offer is still available then I'll be down there 1st thing providing Andy and Richie aren't fishing!!!

Alright Pete, fresh worm??? what's that then? I thought it came frozen??? :-)
Squid does the biz for us mate but if you can get any fresh worm bring it along.
We'll have squid (obviously!), and some crab, razor, sandeel and lug, all frozen to feck
If Rich and Andy are out on the day but you can get us and few packs of fresh then great, just let us know the damage.

Alright Mart - XCweather currently showing 10's Southerly all day, may change as you well know, if it improves by close of day then will try and get some fresh (no guarantee's though!)

Andy and Richie still havn't given a yeh or ney so will try them again 2day.

Sorry the weather has spoiled Martins pleasure bash
for tomorrow.

Gary and I will be going out on Zippo tomorrow should be nice
and sheltered in Rock Channel. Some nice Plaice been coming out.
Looking forward to next weeks start of the summer league.

Dont forget the next Club meeting at Dunny's is Mon 14th April.

Hi Martin,
Launched Zippo with Gary at about 9.15am [wind with tide].
No problems launching and although the river looked calm we decided
to fish the Rock Channel which was sheltered from the wind.
Not many fish at first due to slack water but once the tide started
to run it was a fish a cast. We caught about 60 fish in all between 3 of us.

Whiting- about 12 in size rest mainly small
Codling-2 in size rest small.
Dabs- plenty caught
Flounders- 1 good one
Plaice-6 caught-5 in size- Gary had a double header.
Dogfish- 1 only.

Bit of rain during day but fishable throughout.
Returned to beach at 2.30, retrieval was at nearly high water
and there was a bit of soft sand.

6 species in all. - A good days fishing.

Gary's been down to New Brighton front this morning and there are 3 boats
fishing in the Rock Channel.

Steve good report, sorry now we stayed ashore, never mind hope to get out for the first of the summer league.
Could be its going to be a great summers fishing   Tim.

We had a night out planned for Friday, which I'd forgotten about, otherwise I'd have been very tempted myself but I'm getting on a bit now and can't take the ale like I used to!

The weather is looking good, calm and sunny , ideal for the plaice I'm going after on Sunday.
