Hello lads, clubmans event, , Town hall steps,Tuesday  14/1/14, meet at Tobin street 19.00' , fish 19.30 till 22.00. 2 hooks , 20 cm limit. Not pegged.

Thanks ste. should be ok for that if me leg is ok. Could you explain to me what a clubmans is do i need to be a member of it or is it kind of gaining   points over the year.Cheers Vinny.    

Hello Vinny, the clubmans is a league run by sea angler magazine . All club members are elligible for points whenever the club fish an event that is deemed a clubmans event . I have run this for the club since this league started and I would say 80 to 90 % of our shore matches also carry clubmans points . The top 5 in each event get points. Each club can also enter 3 teams and as many individuals as we have in our club. It's a good way of getting fishing without it being part of the leagues and also a nice way to fit some midweek fishing .These events are as competitive as YOU want them to be , the pools are optional and I do try and pick venues that are fair and currently fishing. The clubmans league runs from 1st if May tilln28 th of February and a maximum of 20 events can be fished. Hope to see you and Sam there . Regards , Steve.
