| Still in two minds about putting this in . might open a big can of worms and suppose you cant force members to fish. Shame such a big club cant get the numbers to fish | |

| Yes Mark that could also be the case. Its not a case of what the club can do for you , but what you can do for the club. Obviously there would be exception to this rule ie , the club president Allan Marklew , whose devotion and commtiment to the club is without question and anyone with serious long term illness. Ths would be up to the committee to decide. Is it too much to ask members of a fishing club to fish that clubs events? i dont think it is.

| totally agree with you Steve after all we are a "fishing club" not a social club, This propasal could be used as a qualification for the Fur and Feather match, similar to what the north west do for their xmas match. | |

| " I propose that to qualify for the following years membership, members would have to attend a certain number of club events( meetings and fishing)" the number of which to be decided by the commitee"
Thinking of putting this in on Monday , what do members think. The reasoning behind it is to get members taking part and supporting the club.92 members and we have trouble filling charter boats, getting more than 3 small boats fishing at one time and the average beach event is about 12 people fishing. For a club with membership the size of ours thats poor. We have members that get cheaper launching fees, insurance, dock passes and dont give anything in time effort our support to the club and its time they did. Regards. Steve Trish. | |
