locked out this morning at around 5 O'Clock 3 on board, 7 boats in the lock so we are not the only mad people, the Mersey was a bit lively the forecast was for winds gusting to 26 knots from n.n.west but mainly 16 knots constant we found the wind to be 30 knots n.west it was a bouncy start pitch black raining and the anchor would not bite till we put another length of chain on, we had a few fish on the ebb, it seemed to take for ever for the tide to turn but when it did the day got a lot better the wind was then blowing down river we had shelter from the cabin and the sun came out just like a summers day at the north pole, the cod started to feed we finished up with 10 keepers the biggest around 5.5 pounds we locked back in around 3 ish this afternoon not a bad day

well in dave and ronnie.. nice to hear of some decent fish coming in,,the forecast was right then,, it would have been too rough for the small boats to fish,,,the river did flatten off in the afternoon as you said.. but we would have been in by then,,,,,at least someone is getting the cod in,...well done again to you and ronnie.... sunny
