Subject: the Mersey today October 22nd 2011, 20:14
we locked out at 7-30 ish into a very lumpy mersey, we had 5 on board, dropped anchor at one of our favorite cod marks with in 10 minutes the first one came aboard it was also the biggest of the day just pushing 4 pounds,it fished spasmodic all day 2 or 3 cod then nothing for an hour then another few in between we had whiting some a decent size dabs and doggies, all in all not a bad day we finished up with 15 keepers between 4 of us as one person failed to get a cod

Well done lads, weather is sh$t ! Hope it picks up got bait collecting thru week and two matches next sunday

at least you were out dave,, any fishing is better than none! and a few cod for tea,,, cant ask for much more can you...keith

it was a good day but not the place for small boats, although there where about 5 out they all fished just before seaforth and went in about 3 ish we where to far away to recognize any one of them
