2 small boats out in the mersey today steve bates on hunter 11,and myself on invader with ronnie jones, both boats had a superb days fishing over 18 smooth hounds to each boat,skate to 8 pounds, whiting, dabs, and flounder,fished from 9-0clock this morning until 3 this afternoon never seen the mersey fish so well and ive fished it for over 25 years. ronnie was going to do the report but as he hasn`t registered yet i thought i would show him how its done. I agree with Dave best days fishing for many years. Smoothhounds must be the best pound for pound fighting fish in the mersey. Hope the fishing is as good for the rest of the summer.

We went out on Saturday, my dad and bro-inlaw are over, we had about 15 Kahwai, 3 barracouta and a few undersize bluecod. The kahwai go like poo off a shovel cheers

its been great the last few days no wind and up to 18 deg C of a day..not bad for winter. Sods law the forecast for the weekend is sh**.
