went out today on Seeker V with Ralph and his son Andrew, launched new brighton about 8.30am, cool overcast but not too bad, went to rock channel , usual, dabs, whiting , dogs and plenty of them. then went to Windmills, only stayed about an hour as wind over tide made it a bit bouncy. so back in to Rock Channel to try for plaice,, 1st drop down Andrew got a very decent sized one! game on! then moved to C23 too see if any cod,, just whiting ,dogs and big dabs again..so went to Pluckington too see what the tide run was like, forget it! it was steaming like a train. so back down to Rock Channel to fish for plaice again, another 4 caught between us and then surprise surprise i got 2 Mackerel. then to top it all i then caught a Smoothound about 7lb. Strange,October and mackerel and smoothound and good plaice?, was a great day to be out, good fishing, good company and a good try out for Ralph's new Garmin colour GPS which was magnificent all day, all in all a very fine result all round, thanks to Ralph for a great day out.
