Hello lads. Well , stupid as I am I arranged to meet up with an angler from Widnes and fish to the right of the Runcorn bridge. The weather was snow , cold easterly winds but we were relatively sheltered. I had rag , lug mackerel and a few bits and tried various distances and rigs but we both blanked. . I did drop flounder lifting it out the water but they don't count! Nice little area to fish, Jay , the other angler said its alive with founder eel s and the odd bass from April onwards. I'm going to try a few other marks around there and see if any are suitable for club events. Three blanks out of the last 4, not good fishing! Hopefully Llandudno on Saturday night will produce some dogs codling and whiting.

Steve Hi, you have to be carfull fishing the runcorn side of the bridge i have been told that it is classed as fresh water and you will require a licence to fish it? if you know somewhere you can check it out it would be advisable, not worth getting your gear taken from you, what i meen by the runcorn side is up river past the bridge. I have seen fishing there it was only eels on the day, Tim.
