Pleasure bash,rock channel 8-Sept 2012.

3 boats launched N.Brighton 8-30am, sea state-slight.1 boat hunter 2 went wrecking,maybe Ste will give a report on his day later.

Sea raider & Jedi fished rock channel. the fishing was good and steady all day.Smooth hounds,small tope,plenty of skate,whiteing acouple in size,tub guernard ,dabs. Cookie caught a new species called header ? realing in a tub guernard to the boat, the line went slack,all that was left on the hook, the head of the fish.a clean take of the rest of the fish by something unknown. A pleasure to be out in fine weather.

Nice to see there are still some fish around Jimmy.
Fished for a couple of hours Friday afternoon as only testing the motor in the river I blanked but Gary caught a small plaice.
On Saturday we went out to the wrecks. On way out saw a few seals by the windmills perhaps thats what took cookies fish!
Lumpy going out but once out there the sea flattened off and calmed down. Feathered for mackerel on way out and caught about a dozen for bait.
After a few drifts to try and get the right one across the wreck parts we had plenty of bites. At the start and end of some drifts we were plagued by whiting mainly small but we ended up catching cod, ling, pouting and whiting. Biggest cod 6/7 pounds Ling about 7lbs.
On way back in the sea became lumpy across the channel and all the way to the groynes by beach. The sea state was far calmer weather out in the bay it was as near to a mill pond as possible.
Enjoyed the first days fishing out in my boat for a long time.
